ART/VIDEO – The Myth of Talent 02: My Figure Drawing Then And Now

This notion of talent  keeps coming up, even when it’s coming from people who can draw, saying that other people who draw better must therefore just be “given” the ability without having to work for it.

This is not the case. Everyone at some level has to put in some about of work to get better, to improve.

In this week’s video I show you some before and after.  I start off by showing you some of my current figure drawings.  Then I take out the actual drawing pad for my first ever figure drawings.  I show you were I came from, and where I am.

Then you can judge, was it talent, or work?
