Show Your Work!: Book Review

BOOKS – Show Your Work!: Book Review

In this review, I talk about yet another book worth reading if you’re an artist.  It full of little tidbits of wisdom that you not have thought about when producing your creative projects.

It’s a great read.  It’s one of the many books I recommend to all my artist friends, when talking about making a living or getting yourself out there.

I also read one of my favorite bit from the book to show you the types of things written in it. If you’re interested, there’s an affiliate link below the video which you can click to go buy it:

Basic Storyboarding Tips: Part 1

ART/VIDEOS – Basic Storyboarding Tips: Part 1

My job is storyboarding yet I’ve never really made a video talking about how to storyboard. There was a comment on left one of my Youtube videos that asked me to talk about it.

Without that comment, I probably wouldn’t have thought to do it.

During my down time on the Metro going home from work, I started creating some Sketchnotes concerning what I know about storyboarding. I’m thinking, once I’ve done a few of these, I’ll compile them into a pdf and give it away.

Anyway, here’s the first video I made on what I know about storyboarding:

If you want a copy of the page in the video before I’ve compiled it into a pdf, you can get it by becoming a Bronze Level Patron over on my patreon.  It’s located here on this reward page:

The War of Art Book Review

January 5, 2017 in BOOKS, VIDEOS

VIDEOS/BOOKS – The War of Art Book Review

When it comes to doing creative work, fear, doubt, and other negative thoughts are the number one reason it doesn’t even get started.  It’s a struggle that all creative have in whatever medium we use to do our creative work.

You may say that the struggle is a war.  A war to get off your butt, fight the fear and negativity and get things done.

If what I’ve said even slightly resonates with you, then you may want to watch this book review of Steven Pressfield’s book The War of Art.  It’s worth watching, believe me:
